We read the book The First Thanksgiving by Garnet Jackson . We really enjoyed learning how the Pilgrims traveled on the Mayflower and what their first harvest was like. Our class then performed a readers theater production based on the book. We dressed in costume and had so much fun. We recommend you read the book!

I read the book called Chrysanthemum by Kevin Henkes. The story was about a little girl named Chrysathemum and she has a problem – everyone laughed at her every time their teacher Mrs. Chud called her for roll call. A girl named Victoria is making fun of her. What will Chrysanthemum do to fix her problem? Will she become Victoria’s friend? Read Chrysathemum to find out.

I just read a hilarious book called Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul. It’s about a boy named Greg who was supposed to go to Disney World. His brother, Manny, wanted to go to his Aunt Loretta’s house so they postponed the trip. On the way to Aunt Loretta’s, they went to a motel. Greg and Rodrick wanted to go to the pool but there was not any water in it. They decided to go in the hot tub but they couldn’t because an obnoxious family was in it and they wouldn’t get out. That night, Greg heard something. He looked outside his room and saw the kids from the obnoxious family in the hot tub. He yelled at them. The next day, Greg went to a water park. While Greg and Rodrick were playing, Mom and Dad got food with Manny. When it was time to go, all their stuff was gone. Greg suspects the obnoxious family.
