I just read a fantastic book called Inside Out and Back Again by Thanhha Lai . In this book a girl named Ha has to leave her country because of war . When she leaves her country, she goes to the United States and cannot make friends which makes her sad . Read Inside Out and Back again to find out if Ha finds happiness in the United States.
Is history boring? Not if you read this book. It is a riveting book called “I SURVIVED the Bombing of Pearl Harbor.” It is about a boy named Danny and he moves to Hawaii from New York. He didn’t want to leave his friend Finn but he had to. Danny is tough; he is not scared of crime, or stowing away on a boat going out of Hawaii. He planned on going back. But one morning, the sky filled with planes and bombers! Bullets poured down like rain on a stormy night and bombs were obliterating the beaches. I read an amazing book Meet Kit by Valerie Tripp. Kit is not the practical 1930’s girl. Instead she likes adventure books and writing nespapers for her dad. Kit’s family is living during the Great Depression. Thankfully, their father still has a job. But a little later Kit finds out her dad wants to close the car dealership he works at because not enough people are coming to buy or rent cars. What will happen to Kit’s family? I just read a thrill-seeking book called The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. In this story, a boy name Tom goes on a treasure hunt with his friend, Huckleberry Finn. Before they went on the treasure hunt, they went to a graveyard at midnight and saw Injun Joe kill Doc Robinson. Everybody thought that Muff Potter killed Doc. Then, Muff went on trial and Tom told the judge that Injun Joe killed Doc. Joe was in the court when he said that! Will Tom and Huck get their treasure? Will Injun Joe kill them? I just read a timeless book called The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. It’s about a boy named Huck who has a friend that’s a slave named Jim. Jim ran away from his master. Huck also ran away after his father locked him in his cabin. Apparently, Huck went to the same place Jim went to escape. Next, they made a raft that has all their stuff on it and that’s their new home. Then somebody finds Jim and he gets turned into a slave again. Huck tried to find him. Then he ran into his best friend, Tom Sawyer. Huck tells Tom all about what happened. They teamed up and rescued Jim. Next, somebody finds Jim AGAIN. Then he got chained to his bed and there were guards watching him. Will Huck and Tom get Jim out? Read The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Samuel Langhorne Clemens (AKA Mark Twain) to find out.
I read a fantastic book called Little House on The Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder. This book is about the
Ingalls family! They are Pa, Ma, Laura, Mary, and Baby Carrie. They are on a journey from Wisconsin to Oklahoma to live in a new place and meet new people. Exciting parts from the book include fires, a war between the Indians, and Santa coming to town. If you like adventure, then this is the book for you!
