We just read a hilarious book called Three Cheers for Tacky written by Helen Lester. In the story Tacky is different from the other penguins. In fact, you might even call him goofy. One day Tacky and his friends enter a cheering contest. Tacky’s friends cheered in sync. Tacky did not. Tacky’s friends cheered with talent. Tacky, not so much. The competition was soon arriving. Sylvester and the Magic Pebble: A Book Talk by Ms. Wilson’s Class

We just read an outstanding book called Sylvester and the Magic Pebble written by William Steig. In this story a donkey named Sylvester found a magic pebble. Frightened by a lion, Sylvester tries to think of a way to save himself. He makes a bad choice and uses the magic pebble to turn himself in a rock. Sylvester is now safe from the lion but, now he is a motionless rock! Will Sylvester remain a rock forever? Can he break the pebble’s curse? Will Sylvester’s parents ever see their son again? We just read a silly book called The Lamb Who Came for Dinner by Steve Smallman. In this story a hungry wolf meets a lovable lamb.
